Introduction to Pinned Parks

Organizing parks by using custom map pins is a great way to visually reference parks that are owned by specific companies. Alternatively, a user could choose to set up their custom map pins to visually track the park's stage of a user's workflow.

Within ParkSitesIO, the concept of having a map pin display in a color other than its system default color is known as Pinning a Park.

No matter how a user chooses to organize parks using custom map pins it's important to remember there are two aspects of pinning a park. First, the user has to create a pre-defined list of custom map pins. Second, the user must apply the correct custom map pin to the appropriate parks.

Creating a Customized Map Pin List
By creating a list of customized map pins, that complements your business's day-to-day workflow, users can quickly display parks that have been pinned when using the Pin Color Control within the park's Activity Center. No matter how users choose to create and apply their Custom Map Pins, consistency should be a primary focal point to ensure tracking parks work with your business model.

Applying a Custom Map Pin to a Park
Once a user has built their customized map pin list, they can apply a custom map pin to a park by utilizing the Pin Color Control within the park's Activity Center.  Applying a custom map pin to a park enables the park to be quickly viewable in a searchable list the next time a user clicks the Pinned Parks option within the toolbar.

Viewing Parks With Custom Map Pins
After applying a custom map pin to a specific park, users can quickly view a searchable list of all of their pinned parks by clicking the Pinned Parks option within the toolbar. This eliminates having to "hunt" for your Pinned Parks by zooming in and out of the map as park clusters break into smaller groups.
